About the team

We're on the lookout for a qualified painter with at least 5 years industry experience to join our team based at Ashmore Depot - Gold Coast. The team specialises in the painting of all the City’s assets as well as pressure cleaning and graffiti removal. 

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Painting and graffiti removal activities on various assets across the city.

• Ensure all work is performed to meet safety, environmental and legislative requirements, and responsibilities of the City of Gold Coast, together with the adherence of all City of Gold Coast WH&S guidelines and procedures.

• Conduct all business transactions in an ethical, friendly, and professional manner.

• Provide specialist technical advice to Building Maintenance staff, asset custodians, and other customers as required.

• On the job training to apprentices or trainees.

• Scope works, source relevant materials and equipment to undertake works.

We’re looking for people who have: 

• Certificate III in Painting and Decorating.

• C Class Driver’s Licence.

• General Construction Induction White Card.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Self-motivated and work with limited supervision to ‘get the job done right’.

• Initiative to apply judgement and use resources effectively to achieve goals.
