How you’ll make a difference

We are currently accepting applications for skilled and experienced horticulturists/arboriculturists to work from various Depots across the City on a casual basis.

Working across the City from Tugun to Pimpama, you will work as part of a team responsible for maintaining and enhancing parks, landscaped and recreational spaces within the City’s open space regions and road network.

  • Planting, pruning, mulching, hedging, removing green waste, spraying herbicides/weed removal and operating equipment such as leaf blowers, chainsaws and pole saws.

  • Demonstrate behaviours that contribute to a positive and successful team.

  • Follow established work practices and consistently deliver high quality work. 

What you bring to your new role

  • Cert II (or higher) in Horticulture/Conservation & Landcare Management/Arboriculture or minimum 1 year industry experience

  • C Class Drivers Licence

  • WHS General Construction White Card

  • Flexibility to work from any depot

  • Be a team player with strong communication skills

  • Have a high level of motivation and initiative, with the ability to work unsupervised

  • Have the ability to work productively in a team environment and foster good relationships with other team members
