Natural Areas Restoration Officer


About the team

As part of the Environment and Heritage Branch, the Natural Areas Conservation (NAC) business unit oversees the daily management and showcasing of a 13,000 hectare estate containing significant and diverse biological values. 

About your new role

In your new role as a RestorationOfficer, you will apply ecological theory to restore and enhance the city's native vegetation and biodiversity condition by employing established restoration methods such as Natural, Assisted, and Reconstruction techniques. Additionally, you will provide advice to the unit and other stakeholders in assessing the health and recovery potential of degraded native forests.

We're looking for people who have:

  • Bachelor Degree of Environmental Science or equivalent knowledge
  • Previous experience in managing projects in a similar role
  • Passionate about mentoring others and working in a collaborative team environment
