The opportunity

The Civil Maintenance Trainee will perform operational preventative and responsive civil maintenance activities, while also undertaking Certificate III Water Industry Operations.

This traineeship will complete a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (NWP30222). This course covers a variety of units, such as:

  • WHS hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control processes.
  • Assess, implement and report environmental procedures.
  • Maintain and repair network assets for drinking water.
  • Maintain and repair network assets for wastewater.
  • Monitor and operate wastewater collection and transfer systems

This development opportunity will also come with the appropriate induction, development training, and mentorship, in line with the successful applicant’s experience and requirements.

About you

This is an Identified position only available to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander candidates.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
  • Minimum Year 10 education level satisfactorily completed.
  • Experience in the operation of a range of plant and/or machinery would be an advantage.
