Room Leader - Carcoola Preschool Room

We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic educators who are inspired about working in Early Childhood Education and Care.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Childcare team on permanent part time or permanent full time basis. This Room Leader position is for Diploma or Degree trained applicants or those currently enrolled in the either a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Early Childhood Teaching Degree. This position is located in Tumbarumba at our Carcoola Children’s Service and will be working with our Preschoolers in their own room.

Snowy Valleys Council offers a range of Childcare and Education services in the region including LongDay and After-School care in Tumbarumba, a Preschool in Khancoban, and a mobile service called Puggles that brings early childhood education to remote communities.

As a Room Leader at Snowy Valleys Council you will be involved in all facets of caring for children as well as mentoring and training junior staff.

SALARY

Salary will be paid in accordance with Local Government (State) Award 2023 and the Snowy Valleys Council’s salary system. This position maybe Graded a Grade 6 or 7 depending on qualifications. This will range from $36.17 per hour plus 11% superannuation.
