What you need to know...

  • temporary part time until January 2025 - 28 hours per fortnight
  • the package: $31,635 - $37,725 (pro-rata) plus superannuation, per annum
  • location - Grafton or Maclean (to be negotiated)

About the role

Are you passionate about biodiversity, and looking for a part time role assisting with the delivery of a range of environmental projects? If that sounds like you then Clarence Valley Council wants to hear from you! We are looking for someone to work 2 days per week to contribute to the delivery and implementation of biodiversity management projects which protect and restore the environmental values of the Clarence Valley.

There are specific tasks to deliver including identifying incentives for habitat corridors and the review of various policies and procedures. It is a challenging and rewarding task, requiring the ability to liaise with Government agencies, community groups, and the general public in relation to projects as required. There is also the opportunity to contribute to delivery of education programs through using online communication platforms.

This position is located at Council's Grafton or Maclean Office, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.
