The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley is an extraordinarily beautiful and sparsely populated area in the northeast corner of Western Australia (WA), and is known as one of the world's last wilderness frontiers. About the positions:

Excellent opportunities have arisen to join the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley in the role of Town Maintenance Officer.  Town Maintenance Officers are be responsible for assisting with the daily maintenance of parks and reserves, roads and drainage, reticulation systems and other maintenance in Kununurra and surrounding areas. The full package (not including penalties) will be between $81,309 - $85,252 (depending on experience) per annum.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Good customer service skills and ability to provide a high level of service to members of the public;
• Demonstrated ability to operate safely, relevant equipment i.e. ride on mowers, whipper snipper, chainsaw, hedge trimmer;
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, in a team environment; and
• Ability to prioritise tasks and complete these in a timely manner.

This pool will be open for a period of 12 months, permanent, fixed term, full time and part time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
