What you need to know...

  • Permanent full time 76 hours per fortnight
  • the package: circa $54,669 plus superannuation, per annum
  • location - South Grafton
  • 9 day fortnight
  • access to fitness passport

About the role

We are looking for the right person to take on this this important role working with our Maintenance team to provide data to ensure we are making the right decisions in relation to our road assets.

As an inspector you will:

  • Inspect Council's roads, bridges and ancillary assets, assess and record asset condition and recommend actions for correction of any defects determined
  • Undertake investigations for Council's works and matters of public complaint and request
  • Install traffic counters on Council roads and record and analyse results
  • Assist in the scoping, recording and marking out of planned maintenance and capital works programs

The successful applicant will need to have a 'can do' attitude, be able to think innovately to identify maintenance solutions, have good communication skills and works as part of a team environment

This position is located at Council's Rushforth Road Works Depot, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.
