About the role We have created this new position to increasing community support for prioritisation of the environment in Councils activities and decision-making. In this position, you will support the Manager Environment and Regulatory Services to take a proactive role in identifying key public health and environmental health issues for the community and Council, provide accurate information in accordance with Council Policy and legislation, and assist in leading and motivating the Environmental Services team to achieve the objectives of our Community Strategic Plan and actions within the Operational Plan. Do you have experience in public and environmental health service delivery relevant to local government responsibility? Can you lead and manage a team of staff to ensure outcomes are achieved? Do you have an understanding of public and environmental health requirements and innovative approaches in managing these challenges, work well in a team and independently, able to interpret and report on relevant legislation and guidelines?
