The Shire of Waroona is located in the Peel Region and offers residents an enviable small town country lifestyle featuring the forests of the scarp and Preston beach on the coast, not far from the major centres of Mandurah to the north and Bunbury to the south.

An exciting new opportunity exists for a suitably experienced and motivated person to lead the Infrastructure & Development directorates in the position of Director Infrastructure & Development Services.

Reporting to the newly appointed CEO, you will create an environment for high performance and an engaged workplace culture that delivers value to the community. You will be responsible for leading and directing the development and delivery of strategic programs, projects, and initiatives. Leading a diverse portfolio including Planning, Health, Building, Infrastructure and Technical Services, this role is critical in supporting the CEO and the Council in delivering quality customer service and ensuring the achievement of strategic objectives.

The Shire of Waroona is looking for a value driven people leader who has demonstrated technical capabilities with the ability to lead in alignment with Councils vision and plans. You will need to be innovative and future focused and seek out opportunities to continuously improve systems and processes. Being politically astute and demonstrating a strong commitment to local government with a sound understanding of the statutory and legislative requirements of Council, your strong interpersonal skills will build positive relationships and foster productive partnerships. Tertiary qualifications in planning or infrastructure will be highly regarded.

The position includes an attractive remuneration package which includes a generous cash base salary up to $150,000, unrestricted private use of a vehicle and a co-contribution superannuation scheme.
