Are you experienced in complex minute taking and the associated liaison required with various external stakeholders? Does working flexible hours to attend various Council meetings interest you?

We currently have vacancy in our Governance team to help make Wollondilly an even better place, together.

As the Corporate Governance Officer, your day will consist of, but not be limited to:

  • Assist with research and provide support to the Senior Corporate Governance Officer and Coordinator Corporate Governance & Enterprise Risk to deliver high quality governance and legal services across Council.
  • Provide quality customer service and support to the Mayor and Councillors.
  • Work collaboratively with the Management Team and Senior Leaders to understand their business requirements and deliver governance strategies that meet Council’s long term operational objectives and aligns with Council’s Governance Framework.
  • Undertake governance projects and programs that enhance Council’s compliance and positively promotes good governance across the organisation.
  • Maintain specialist knowledge of governance systems (Infocouncil) and provide training to staff as needed.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria:

  • Certificate III Qualifications in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in a governance type role with superior organisation skills and attention to detail, whilst requiring minimal direction or supervision.
  • Experience in complex minute taking and liaising with a broad range of external stakeholders.
  • The ability and commitment to work flexible hours including working evenings at meetings as required.
