  • Salary Range Band 5 $72,168 to $83,699 (Pro Rata) plus 10% super.
  • Temporary Full Time – Contract position till March 2022
  • St Kilda or During COVID-19 Pandemic, with ELT/DHHS direction, this role is able to work from home and is predominantly based online.

The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. About the Role

The Operations and Events Coordinator role is an exciting contract role that will help bring the return of the much loved St Kilda Festival back to the fore.

The Festival is seeking an suitable candidate for the 2022 event, with a focus on planning and delivery pertaining to site logistics, resourcing and scheduling, procurement and sourcing as well as signage and crew supervision. 

Duties: 

  • Coordinate the sourcing and procurement of required festival hardware, tools, signage and infrastructure as well as development of festival signage installation plans.
  • Liaise with local business involved with the Festival to set out their trading footprint during festival period.
  • Contribute to development and implementation of resourcing and staffing plans for the build and delivery of the event.
  • Assist with COVID safe planning. 
  • Monitor crews and contractors to ensure safe work pactices are being adhered to throughout the Festival site

Skills and Experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication required.
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the operational and production requirements needed to stage large scale outdoor music events.
  • Event based staff management experience.
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence
