Council's 2022 Trainee and Apprentice Opportunities:

Council is seeking driven, friendly, passionate and confident individuals to join our team as a Trainee or Apprentice, for commencement in February 2022. You'll gain hands-on experience while completing a Nationally Recognised Qualification relevant to your Traineeship or Apprenticeship.

  • 6 x Business Trainees - Chinchilla, Dalby, Miles and Tara
  • 1 x Information Digital Media and Technology Trainee - Dalby
  • 1 x Rural Services Trainee - Dalby
  • 4 x Civil Construction Trainees - Regional
  • 2 x Water Operations (Network) Trainees - Chinchilla and Dalby
  • 2 x Parks and Open Spaces Apprentices - Chinchilla and Tara
  • 2 x Plumber Apprentices - Dalby & Jandowae
  • 2 x Diesel Fitter Apprentices - Miles & Dalby
  • 2 x KickStart Disability Trainees - Regional
  • 2 x School Based Apprentices or Trainees - Regional

To apply for a traineeship/apprenticeship with Council, it is recommended you:

  • Be above the age of 15;
  • Hold a High School Certificate or equivalent;
  • Be able to meet citizen, residency and Visa requirements to undertake a traineeship or apprenticeship; and
  • Do not have a qualification that is equal to or higher than the qualification in the same field as your traineeship or apprenticeship.

You must be available to attend an interview between 11 and 22 October 2021.
