About the Role

Based at the Carinya Aged Care Facility, in Miles, you will assist in the kitchen, laundry and with cleaning of the facility. 

Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, you will:

• Ensure the quality preparation of meals for residents by assisting with food-preparation, serving and hygiene in the kitchen;
• Be responsible for carrying out the cleaning duties of the Facility, including floors, furniture and equipment, whilst ensuring infection control guidelines are maintained; and
• Be accountable for the quality laundering of resident's clothes.

About you

To be a successful applicant, you will have:

• a dedication towards delivering high quality service in meal handling, cleanliness and cleaning;
• compassion, empathy, patience and respect for residents, colleagues and visitors;
• an acceptable standard of verbal and written communication skills; and
• a Yellow Card or the willingness to obtain before commencement;
• experience in a commercial kitchen is desirable;
• willingness to obtain the appropriate vaccinations.
