Purpose of the Role

The City Life directorate delivers personalised and public services to enhance community life, including family, children, aged, leisure and cultural services.

The Executive Assistant supports the Director of City Life and the primary purpose of this role is to provide high level executive support across a range of areas. We are looking for a candidate who is a great communicator and enjoys promoting a positive and collaborative culture engaging all areas of the organisation.

Balancing the expectations of internal and external stakeholders will be a key component of this role. Additionally, you must be able to demonstrate that you are able to deal with matters confidentially and maintain discretion at all times.

You thrive in an environment that is fast paced and dynamic and are comfortable working with a high level of autonomy. Your ability to manage multiple competing priorities coupled with a desire to always provide quality outcomes will be highly regarded.

About The Role

To be successful in this role, you will have proven administrative experience and sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, be responsible for Director’s diary management, as well as using your foresight in anticipating issues and to negotiate outcomes in a timely manner in line with the organisations priorities.

About You

We are looking for someone who has;

  • Qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • Demonstrated experience in an executive assistant role, or equivalent, with a sound understanding of the complexities of working within a politically sensitive environment
