The Role

This role is to support the Procurement team in delivering best practice procurement by ensuring all current policies, procedures and systems are current and compliant and providing high quality support and advice to relevant officers on the Town’s procurement practices.

This is a full-time position on a 12 month contract to cover a period of parental leave. The Town may consider a part-time arrangement for the right candidate.

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • Experience within governance or procurement practices.
  • Experience in the interpretation of legislation or contractual provisions and its application.
  • Proven experience working in a similar role along with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities and the ability to work with a high degree of flexibility.
  • Strong administration and Microsoft suite skills will be highly regarded
  • National Police Clearance
  • Rights to work in Australia

If you have strong administration and Microsoft suite skills but feel that you may not have the required procurement experience we still encourage you to apply as full procurement training will be provided.
