Wimmera Emergency Management Project Officer

• Band 5 ($68,160 - $78,719)
• Fixed-term Full-time (for 6 months) with flexible working arrangements available

This position will primarily assist in the development of Community Action Relief Teams (CART) as well as an audit of existing relief centres. The aim of the project officer is to develop and implement a project plan including a budget for the recruitment of volunteers, applicable training regime, equipment and ongoing support for CART across the Wimmera.

To be successful in this role, you must have an understanding of the broad range of issues affecting the emergency management (in particular the relief) needs of the four municipalities and which influence the development of an associated project plan, including audit of existing arrangements and consultation with internal and external clients, council staff and emergency management agencies.
