The Role
Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to undertake the above position. The Environmental Health Officer efficiently and effectively administer the Environmental and Public Health functions of Council in accordance with the provisions of all relevant Acts and regulations.
What You Will Need
All applicants must have a degree qualification in Natural Science (Environmental and Health) (or equivalent) with relevant experience and an ability to interpret, apply and enforce relevant legislation, local laws and subordinate local laws. Applicants must demonstrate an understanding of regulatory frameworks and experience in implementing inspection programs for food premises and onsite sewage management systems.
Salary Range
A competitive remuneration and benefits package including leaseback vehicle will be negotiated with the successful applicant. Council also offers a number of attractive benefits, such as rental subsidies, relocation expenses and flexible working hours. Other conditions are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Council's policies and procedures.
