FReeZA Program
The City Of Ballarat Youth Services are currently looking for dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic young people, aged 12 – 25 years to become members of our FReeZA Program in 2021.
The FReeZA program is a Victorian state government funded initiative that gives young people the opportunity to lead the planning and staging of live music and cultural events within their local communities. The program gives all participants hands-on experience and training in the Australian music and events industry through extensive event management, mentoring and networking opportunities.
Key Selection Criteria
Essential:
-
Aged between 12 and 25 years at time of application
-
Availability to attend meetings, events and commitment to the role and its responsibilities.

Successfully complete a Victorian Police Check and if 18 years or older, carry a current Working with Children Check or be eligible to apply for one

Commit to being part of a safe and inclusive environment

Ability to observe child safe principles and expectations for appropriate behaviour towards and in the company of children
Desirable:
-
Have an understanding of event management and/or a willingness to learn
-
Have a keen interest in live music and/or cultural events
-
Relevant experience and/or a proven willingness to learn.

Willingness to participate in social and team building activities
