Arbovirus Technical Officer
The Arbovirus Technical Officer will work as part of Council’s Community Health Team to monitor and control the public health risks associated with mosquitoes throughout the annual Arbovirus Season, from start October to end March. The position will implement the on-ground, seasonal works contained within the Gannawarra Shire Arbovirus Plan and Annual Implementation Plan as part of Council’s involvement in the Victorian Arbovirus Disease Management and Control Program.
To be successful in this position you will need:
- Ability to undertake relevant technical training
- Ability to use a quad bike
- Experience with the use of chemicals
- Flexibility to work additional hours dependant upon seasonal demands would be an advantage
