Design Engineer

The purpose of the Design Engineer is to prepare engineering design plans for all of Council’s civil infrastructure whilst providing a professional, high quality, effective, yet functional standard of design for projects undertaken with due recognition of codes, standards and adopted guidelines.

Qualifications: The successful applicant will be required to hold a Degree in Civil Engineering acceptable to the Institute of Engineers Australia; be proficiency using Road Design Software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, or 12D as well as experience using Drainage Software such as DRAINS; and experience in investigation and design of pavement thickness, using both empirical methods recommended by Austroads.

Hours of work: 35 hours per week. 

Salary and conditions: Annual salary range $85,583.16 to $94,143.92 (Grade 17). Rostered day off once a month.
