The Department of Justice and Regulation is one of seven departments within the Victorian public sector. As a department, we deliver high-quality services to Victorians and support a safe, just, innovative and thriving Victoria.

The department offers a broad range of career opportunities to more than 7000 employees in over 50 business units and service agencies in Melbourne and across Victoria. The broader Justice portfolio is supported by more than 27,000 staff and more than 90,000 volunteers in the Country Fire Authority, Victoria State Emergency Service, Office of the Public Advocate and other bodies.

The department provides the community with access to a range of services through its Justice Services Centres. Specifically placed to respond effectively to the needs for improved access to justice services, the department has over 150 office locations state-wide, each supporting the local community
