Responsibilities include leading policy development and implementation, operational management, performance reporting, team leadership, compliance, risk management, strategic advice provision, change management, and stakeholder engagement to realise the aspirations of Council’s Community Strategic Plan. The ideal candidate will have an appropriate degree qualification in Planning, Management, Public Administration, or a related discipline and extensive equivalent experience. A strong understanding of relevant legislative frameworks, coupled with exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, is crucial. Furthermore, the candidate must exhibit strategic thinking and a capacity for delivering results in dynamic environments. A proven track record in fostering a shared purpose, inspiring engagement, and promoting customer-focused organisational culture is essential, along with a commitment to community engagement, continuous improvement, and quality service delivery.
