About the Opportunity

Council is seeking a Mechanic/Boilermaker to join their team in Miles.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will:

• Diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment
• Dismantling, repairing, rebuilding, assembling and installing parts to vehicles, construction and industrial machinery in the field and in the Workshop.

About yourself

A person in this position will need to hold a relevant trade certificate in a mechanical trade. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have workshop management experience and:

• OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card;
• Trade qualification as Mechanic, and or similar qualification, heavy vehicle experience is desirable.
• Current ‘C’ class drivers' licence or higher;
• Computer knowledge;
• Heavy vehicle licence preferable; and
• Operator Tickets for machinery preferable.
