Civil Design Projects Lead
(Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program)

Liverpool City Council will deliver four transformative city-shaping projects over the next three years, worth more than $150 million. The projects will be delivered by the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program (WISGP) Delivery team, which comprises staff dedicated to driving excellence and creating the leading project delivery team in NSW local government.

The four projects are:

  • Lighthorse Park
  • Carnes Hill Aquatic Centre
  • Brickmakers Creek; and
  • Streetscape Projects (Railway, Scott, and Macquarie)

We are now looking for a highly skilled and experienced full-time Civil Designer to provide specialist civil design advice, guidance, input, and support to assist with the delivery of significant public domain projects in the Liverpool City Centre, comprising the Macquarie Street, Scott Street, and Railway Street Upgrades. This position involves hands-on civil design work and will support the construction activities, with a primary focus on urban design projects. It is a dedicated design role with a strong emphasis on face-to-face discussions, meetings, and hands-on design work. This role will work in partnership with the Senior Project Manager Streetscapes and Urban Design Lead to deliver the three projects on time, on budget and to the highest quality.  

You will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and preferred qualifications in urban design.
  • Proven experience in urban civil design projects minimum 5 years.
  • Proficiency in design software and tools.
  • Proven experience in project costing and risk contingencies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to assess current site risk and associated with the proposed designs.
