About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to join our Works team. This position is a full-time role based at the Moruya Administration Office to coordinate the development and delivery of our works program for roads, bridges, pathways, stormwater, marine infrastructure and other civil works.

Your main duties will include:

  • Overseeing the development of detailed project plans to ensure the delivery of each project to a high quality and on budget.
  • Meeting objectives for safety, stakeholder engagement, environmental management and team growth.
  • Leading business improvement and people management within area of responsibility.
  • Overseeing the operation of Council’s own gravel pits.

Salary Information

Total remuneration for the role is in the range of $121,713.37 to $133,704.43 gross per annum consisting of:

  • $105,943.66 to $116,381.10 base salary
  • $36.56 Adverse Working Conditions allowance
  • $3,708.03 to $4,073.34 Civil Liability allowance
  • $12,061.69 to $13,249.99 superannuation (calculated at 11%)

An offer of employment for this position is subject to a medical clearance to verify that you are safely able to undertake the duties of the position as well as a satisfactory outcome as a result of a National Criminal History Record Check.

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Previous success in managing and developing technical and operational staff to create efficiencies in operations and performance.
  • Management background in the area function of bridges, marine structures and/or workshop.
