About the Role

Based in Dalby, you will lead a small, collaborative and passionate team and partner closely with Council's leadership team to design and implement talent, leadership and development programs, identify individual, team and organisation-wide strategic and operational development needs, and implement best practice solutions.

You will be responsible for leading and managing Council's organisational development programs and initiatives aimed to develop WDRC’s people capability, performance, have high impact OD solutions and embed WDRC's values to drive a positive workplace culture and achieve Council's strategic business objectives.

The role supports a multi-disciplinary and diverse internal and external workforce.

Reporting to the Senior HR Operations Coordinator, you will also:

  • manage the design, development and delivery of diverse contemporary organisational learning and development strategies, policies, projects and initiatives;
  • work closely with members of Council's leadership team to collaborate on the delivery of key initiatives;
  • develop, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of Council's competency/capability framework, talent management strategy, succession plans and learning and development programs and systems; and
  • work with the HR and ICT teams involved in the implementation of the LMS/HRIS systems.

 

About you

The successful applicant will have:

  • Successfully implemented contemporary organisational development programs, strategies and initiatives to enhance organisational culture, capability and performance
  • Experience in developing and implementing innovative learning and development systems, processes and practices in a multi-disciplinary work environment ensuring compliance with organisational and regulatory compliance frameworks;
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage, influence and persuade multiple key stakeholders in relation to organisational development programs and initiatives to enhance team capability, culture and performance;
  • Have extensive experience in OD and a sound understanding of talent and performance management principles;
  • Be a subject matter expert, confident leader, strategic thinker and persistent achiever.
