Designer
Mackay Regional Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Civil Designer to join our Design Services team as part of the Capital Works Directorate.
In this role you will undertake a crucial role within the team, assisting to deliver Council’s provision of engineering design and drafting services by carrying out complex engineering design and drafting, estimation of quantities, estimation of cost of a complex nature, whilst maintaining an utmost focus on safety in design.
You will be part of a diverse team, with a broad range of knowledge and skills, and a project pipeline diverse in content and complexity. The design services team has a focus on continuous improvement and personal development, and as part of this team you will have the opportunity to vary your experiences not only on your current skills and expertise, but on identified areas of development. In this dynamically changing world, there is a focus on developing new technologies and efficiencies in how we deliver optimum outcomes for the council.
The successful applicant will have an Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering or its equivalent accompanied with skills associated with computer aided design using 12D and AutoCAD.

- Annual salary range (including overtime and allowances) from $74,813 - $87,585
