Water Operations Attendant



We are currently seeking an experienced Water Operations attendant to undertake maintenance and construction works associated with the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council water supply reticulation network, including water and sewer infrastructure. This is a great opportunity for applicants with civil infrastructure construction experience who are seeking stability, work life balance, diversity in works, reduced travel requirements and training and development opportunities.


Within this role you will be required to:

  • Complete installation, repairs and maintenance of water and recycled water services;
  • Complete connections, repairs and maintenance of water and recycled water mains and other components within the reticulation system;
  • Respond to emergencies and organise resources/materials as required;

Within this role you will have access to:

  • Nine day fortnight;

About You

To be successful in this role you shall require:

  • Certificate III in Water Operations, or relevant industry experience;
  • Demonstrated experience with installation, repair and maintenance of water services;
  • Current class C driver’s license;
  • Ability to participate in the after-hours on-call roster.


Remuneration

This is a full time role, with a remuneration in the range of $52,748 - $59,341 p.a (depending on skills, experience and qualifications), plus superannuation.

Port Macquarie-Hastings Councils Water and Sewer section services over 77,000 residents and consist of 4 water treatment plants, 19 water pumping stations and 804km of water mains. This role offers the opportunity for a motivated individual to form part of busy team tasked with maintaining this sophisticated water supply network. This position would suit those with plumbing or civil construction experience who are excited to learn, and develop their knowledge and skill base.
