The City of Stonnington has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full time Planning Investigations Officer to join our innovative Planning & Amenity Division located at our modern and sustainable office on Glenferrie Road in Malvern. 


You will be responsible for delivering planning investigation services throughout Stonnington by investigating and administering compliance with the Planning and Environment Act, the Stonnington Planning Scheme and other relevant legislation. You will ensure continuous improvement in service levels and contribute to the improved safety and amenity of the municipally and its residents and visitor’s. 


To be successful you will have a tertiary qualification and/or training in Municipal / Planning / Building Law with relevant experience in the enforcement of planning legislation as well as a current driver’s licence. Additionally, you will have the proven ability to interpret planning law and schemes and have excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Your strong communication skills will be demonstrated in your correspondence with colleagues and residents.
