Manager Assets and Capital Works

Reporting directly to the General Manager Infrastructure, this role will be responsible for Council’s Capital Works, Facilities Maintenance and Asset Management Strategy Units
While leading the department, the appointee will manage the successful performance of each of the units to support the Council Plan and projects and ensure budget targets are met. The role will continually review the corporate asset risk register, undertake audits of processes and procedures, manage the planning and successful delivery of building maintenance activities, oversee the continuation of an effective asset management improvement program, and prepare and deliver the capital works program. You will contribute Department expertise to the delivery of major projects and present reports to the Executive Management Team as required.
You are tertiary qualified in a relevant field with extensive experience in the direct management of large and diverse capital works and building contracts. You possess excellent written and oral communication skills, highly developed leadership skills with the ability to manage a large complex department budget.
