The Opportunity

We are looking for suitable candidates to join our Airport Team as an Airport Administration Officer. The role is responsible for the provision of high level efficient, effective and compliant administrative support to the Manager and other senior airport staff, as and when directed by the Manager.

This role is also responsible for:

  • Preparation, coordination, management and quality control of all incoming and outgoing communications and correspondence, including management of the Airport Inbox;
  • Coordination of diary and email management including record keeping;
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining Airport processes and procedures as required;
  • Provision of administrative support for the purpose of managing the Airports compliance functions, including statutory and management reporting requirements;
  • Processing of lease and utility invoices, including coordination of the Manager’s monthly credit card expenses;
  • Assisting with front line customer enquiries (counter and telephone) for the Airport including the dissemination of relevant information;
  • Managing the EKRA VIC pass scheme, whilst ensuring regulatory requirements are met at all times;
  • Maintaining relevant registers, Synergy modules and assistance with the review of Polices and Organisational Directives as required;
  • Assisting in the preparation of information to incorporate into annual reports, monthly Council Reports and other reports as required;
  • Provide the administrative support for the Airport Committee including the scheduling of quarterly meetings, setting the agenda, taking minutes and maintaining the records;
  • Coordinate the commercial leases for various tenancy areas within the airport;
  • Foster positive working relationships with customers, the East Kimberley business community, aviation and tourism industries, the local community, all emergency service providers and all airport stakeholders;
  • Provide administrative oversight of relevant requests and complaints from stakeholders and compilation of required statistics;
  • Coordinate as instructed by the Manager Airports, training of employees and contractors in accordance with regulatory requirements.

A current administration qualification and unrestricted WA “C” Class Drivers Licence are essential for this role.  You will also have demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse range of people with the aim of meeting customer needs, expectations and business goals; be highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise competing demands. You will have high level organisational and planning skills, as well as a great eye for detail; ability to promptly respond to changing situations and make sound decisions to ensure ongoing efficient and effective provision of services.

We are offering a remuneration package inclusive of allowances and Superannuation of up to $57,000 (dependent on skills and experience) per annum.
