The Opportunity

Wingecarribee Out of School Hours Care provides an inviting, fun filled and caring environment for children aged 5 to 12 years. With both structured and unstructured activities provided, with an emphasis on free play, where children are provided with active supervision that supports developing confidence and building positive friendships. The purpose of this position is to support the Supervisor of School Hours Care to provide before, after and vacation care to students. The role includes direct supervision, administration duties as required and assisting in the planning and delivery of educational programs and activities, as well as to perform the duties of Responsible Pe rson as required.

Essential Criteria

  • No formal qualification required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with children in the 5 to 12 years range in a formal setting
  • Knowledge and application of relevant legislation, regulations and standards which relate to the role
  • Demonstrated understanding of the day to day running of an active children's program and have the ability to assist in the programming for 5-12-year olds
  • Demonstrated experience in meeting customer service standards
  • Ability to satisfy legislative background and probity checks including a current NSW Working with Children Check and clearance
  • Meet current legislative requirements required to perform the role of Responsible Person or willingness to obtain including: • Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certification.
