Are you a skilled plumber looking for a meaningful career in public service? Mackay Regional Council have an opportunity available for an energetic trade qualified Plumber to be an active team member of the dynamic Water Network program. This is a full-time permanent position on a 9-day fortnight roster based in Mackay.

This position is responsible to carry out plumbing duties associated with water or sewerage assets, maintenance, and construction, under limited supervision. Along with providing guidance and coaching to other employees and contractors.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• Licensed Plumber and Drainer.
• QLD “C” Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent.
• General Construction Induction White Card.
• Plumbing and drain laying experience in water supply and sewerage.

Salary & Employee Benefits:

• Total salary package $77,034 - $85,235 ((level offered will be dependent on successful candidates’ qualification and experience)
• On call and overtime opportunities available
• Up to 18% superannuation (conditions apply)
• Choice of 4 or 5 weeks’ annual leave with 17.5% leave loading
• 9 day fortnight roster
