Library Customer Service Coordinator



Salary range: $100,215.01 to $119,665.96 per annum + 10% super

+ $1,000 pa transport allowance

35 hours per week with access to flexi-time

Stanton Library is a quality customer focused library service located in a beautiful park setting near a busy CBD, close to public transport and recreational facilities. There is currently an exciting opportunity for a motivated Library Assistant to join the supportive team at Stanton Library.

We are currently looking for an experienced and energetic Co-ordinator to lead customer service and program delivery at Stanton Library.

As part of the senior team, you will contribute to shaping service delivery, developing a positive and collaborative staff culture, and influencing the future direction of our much-loved library.

You will be responsible for leading the customer experience, children’s and youth, programs and local history teams, encouraging growth and supporting the delivery of high quality programs to the North Sydney community.

Essential Criteria 

  • Eligible for professional membership of ALIA (graduate professional qualification)
  • Demonstrated experience in Library service delivery with sound knowledge of current trends, standards and practices in public libraries
  • Current, high level digital literacy skills, with the ability to support customers and staff with diverse and emerging technology
  • Demonstrated customer-centred approach and commitment to excellence in customer service
  • Extensive experience in the planning, development and delivery of community focussed programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including effective negotiation, conflict resolution and consultation skills
  • Proven capacity to initiate and implement improvements to services, systems and workflows
  • Demonstrated experience in the development, leadership and coaching of staff to foster a culture of collaboration and improvement

Desirable

  • Experience in community engagement processes
  • Proven experience in overseeing a diverse range of projects and people, with the ability to prioritise, problem solve and manage time
  • Vaccinated against COVID-19
