Mackay Regional Council are seeking a Senior Environmental Planner to join our passionate Parks & Environment team on a permanent, fulltime basis

The Position:

The Senior Environmental Planner is responsible for contributing to the development of long term (strategic) planning of natural environment assets.

Under limited direction, the Senior Environmental Planner will contribute to the development and implementation of operational policies, procedures and processes to guide the activities of Council and other stakeholders in relation to the management of the region’s natural assets.

This position will provide technical advice on planning for, and the management of, Council’s natural environment related assets.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• Qualification in a related field such as Environmental Science or Natural Resource Management. o Degree (preferred); or
• Associate Diploma.
• QLD “C” Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent.
• General Construction Induction Training.
• Significant experience in the long-term (strategic) planning of natural environment related assets.
