About the role:
The Catering Officer is to assist in delivering a positive and successful front of house experience, via consultation with internal and external clients, across multiple venues (MECC, stadium and offsite). Ensuring that the MECC brand and all supporting services are delivering in a timely, professional and proactive manner.
The successful applicant will have the following:
- Demonstrated experience in food and beverage, set up, preparation and delivery, functions and events, preferably in an institutional environment eg: 4 star hotel or banquets/functions venue
- Strong administrations skills and an eye for detail
- Demonstrated experience supervising a team.
- Current QLD First Aid Certificate.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate.
- Current QLD ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence.
- Experience with SwiftPOS (point of sale) system or similar will be highly regarded
