Located on the stunning South Coast of Western Australia, the Shire of Denmark comprises some of Western Australia’s most magnificent coastline and natural attractions.

The Shire of Denmark is seeking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer who will champion the Shire’s vision in line with its values and culture. 

The successful candidate will be invested in supporting a happy, healthy and eclectic community that embraces creativity, values the natural environment and fosters a strong local economy.

The role will appeal to an innovative and enthusiastic senior leader who understands the priorities and values of the community and makes decisions that uphold this ethos. A leader who will continue to grow the organisation’s supportive culture and work in the best interests of the community.   

As part of an energetic and cohesive administration and supportive Executive team, the Chief Executive Officer will lead the economic development function of the organisation, underpinned by a high level of transparency, good governance and ethical behaviour.    This key role will strengthen relationships within the community and the region, with a focus on achieving positive economic, environmental and community development outcomes.

In addition to attributes aligned to the Shire’s values and culture, the selection will be based on your ability to demonstrate you have the capabilities to deliver the key responsibilities, be able and motivated to achieve the performance summary criteria and be suitably experienced and tertiary qualified.

The remuneration package for this contract role is negotiable up to $259,278 per annum, plus allowances, benefits and the Denmark lifestyle.
