Part Time 0.65 FTE or equivalent to 49.4 hours per fortnight

As the Youth Programs Duty Manager, you will be responsible for delivering innovative youth programs at the JD Hardie Youth and Community Hub as well as the wider Hedland community. This position reporting to Senior Youth Officer and work closely with the Youth Services team members to ensure effective programs are delivered and well communicated.  

The ideal candidate would demonstrated ability in the successful delivery of youth programs and activities within the community and a willingness to take the initiative and embrace out of the box ideas. No two days will ever be the same in this position so the ability to multi-task and make decisions quickly is essential. You will be interfacing with everyone from members of the public, young people and the internal team, to community organisation’s leaders and all sorts of other people. A penchant for clear, direct communication and the ability to read people all have to be part of your skillset. Great personality and a sense of humour is a great attribute for this position.

Work Related Requirements:

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • First Aid Certificate
  • C Class Drivers Licence
  • Satisfactory National Police Clearance
  • Working with Children’s Check
