The Tasmanian Audit Office Mission is to Perform high quality, independent and cost effective audits, which add value to our clients and provide reports to Parliament that are fair, relevant, timely and of high quality. The Tasmanian Audit Office assists the Auditor-General to meet his responsibilities under the Financial Management and Audit Act 1990. The Auditor-General has a broad-scope mandate for comprehensive auditing which embodies the components generally referred to as financial audit regularity audit and performance audit.
