About the role

This role reports to the Director, of Corporate Services and is a key Leadership role within HRCC. The focus of the position is to:

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational support to develop and deliver people capability to meet the current and future needs of HRCC
  • Develop and drive initiatives that result in organisational culture change and a safe, engaged, capable, high-performing workforce
  • Lead and grow a high-performing HR, Payroll, and Safety with the provision of timely and high-quality service to the organisation
  • Provide expert leadership to build proactive health, safety, and well-being practices and culture throughout the organisation; and
  • Advise, manage, and monitor People, Culture & Safety organisational risks in partnership with the Executive and Leadership teams

About you

We have some exciting HR and Safety initiatives on the horizon to drive our organisational culture and health, safety, and well-being leadership at HRCC. These are strategic priorities and we expect you will actively contribute to, and foster a culture that aligns with our ‘FAIR' values and supports our aspiration of zero harm.

This means you'll have a great understanding of human behaviour and how change impacts people in different ways and have demonstrated experience in managing large enterprise change which has delivered positive people and operational outcomes.

You will care deeply about the physical and psychological safety of people so that members of our team return home in great shape at the end of every day. Your communication and leadership style enables you to chameleon to suit the needs of each situation, always through a lens of respect, openness, and care.

If you have:

  • Qualifications and significant experience in HR, Industrial Relations, or Health Safety & Wellbeing
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in successfully implementing organisational culture change
  • Great personal leadership, people, and communication skills
  • A passion for exceeding customer expectations in service delivery; and
  • A current driver's licence.
