Executive Officer to the Office of the CEO & Mayor



North Sydney Council administers the North Sydney local government area on Sydney’s picturesque lower North Shore. Our 400 employees look after 77,000 residents spread across 10 square kilometres of land on the foreshores of Sydney Harbour providing spectacular harbour views, beautiful parklands and a bustling CBD.

The role 

An exciting opportunity is now available for an outstanding Executive Officer to provide stakeholder management, leadership and project support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

You will deliver a range of executive level support services, including but not limited to:

  • Providing leadership and management support to the CEO and Mayor.
  • Developing and implementing a stakeholder management framework to enhance stakeholder relationships and communication.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor and problem solver to resolve issues in a constructive and customer focused manner.
  • To lead CEO priority projects to accelerate organisational objectives where required.
  • Project management, undertaking research, drafting reports, presentations and correspondence.  
How you'll make a difference

Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of the office of the CEO and will operate with a high degree of independence in performing duties and liaising with a range of clients and stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation, whilst maintaining open channels of communication between all staff across Council. You will play a key part in promoting an engaged culture and identifying opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement across Council.

Salary Range: $100,686 to $120,228 per annum + $1,000 pa Transport allowance + 11% superannuation
