Our ideal candidate is a self starter that has the ability to work autonomously and in a team. You will use your well developed communication skills in managing external consultants and providing technical advice, stakeholder management and presentation of all stages of the design process. You will have the opportunity to get out and about in the great outdoors to undertake field inspections, ensuring accuracy of plans and designs that are to be delivered in line with the works program.


You are the designer we are looking for if you like the challenge of being responsible for the investigation, survey and design of water and sewer infrastructure and have a sound understanding of the WSAA code and Australian Standards.  You will also have experience in close of projects including work as executed drawings. 


Your daily activities may involve:

  • Applying your skills in civil engineering to investigate, survey, and develop all stages of design drawings for external and internal delivery of Council’s water and sewer infrastructure in accordance with Council guidelines
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships ensuring Council is represented in an efficient, effective and professional manner
  • Maintain accurate records in Councils document management system relating to planning, designing, reporting, letter writing, spreadsheet and database use.

This role provides a salary range of between $75k to $90k per annum + superannuation.


A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role. This arrangement may be subject to change.


Applicants may be required to undertake a course of vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus or demonstrate their immunity.
