The City of Stonnington has an exciting opportunity for a Community Services Planner to join our Community and Cultural Division. This position is permanent full time and located at the historic Malvern Town Hall, surrounded by an abundance of shops, cafes and restaurants.


This position will have a specific focus on the strategic planning, policy development, community support and delivery of Community Services, and particularly, services related to children, youth and families, across the City of Stonnington. This will include managing the Parent Education Program, undertaking the key actions of the Child, Family and Youth Strategy, preparing and renewing licenses/leases and agreements with community groups, and project managing and liaising with community users during building or capital works programs.


To succeed in this key community role, we’re looking for motivated professionals with experience in a children and family services or community services environment as well as:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Community Services, Community Development, Early Childhood or a related discipline
  • Experience in managing capital works and maintenance including project management and community consultation
  • Well-developed strategies for building strong relationships and for policy development.
