Parking Officer



Parking Officers will take pride in monitoring compliance, education and enforcing parking requirements within the Parramatta LGA, utilising both the Road Rules 2014 and the Local Government Act, which can include both Public and Private car parks. 


In addition, your role will be complemented with High Profile patrols of Council owned public areas, again ensuring public safety and compliance with the Local Government Act. 


You will be supported with uniform, equipment and technology to assist you in completing your role requirements, taking necessary action to achieve compliance through education, enforcement and the issuing of Penalty Infringement Notices. 


Training will be provided on technology utilised in the field. 


We are looking for a person with:

  • The ability and willingness to adapt to a dynamic work environment with a flexible and positive approach to change, and personal learning and development.
  • Excellent customer service skills and an ability to deal with customers at all levels in a tactful and courteous manner.
  • Proven Communication skills both written and verbal including problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and work with limited direction and supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Current open driver’s licence
  • Experience using the current technologies available to the compliance industry such as PDAs ideal.


The successful applicant will hold a current NSW Class C or P2 Drivers Licence, you will need to have the ability to multi task and deliver all service expectations required. Training and uniforms will be provided at commencement.


Rosters will be a Seven (7) day roster (40-hour week including 2-hour RDO Accrual) each shift comprises of eight (8) hours within the hours of 5:00am – 10:00pm as per the award.
