Salary: Local Government Industry Award 2010 Level 7 $74,856 to $86,640 per annum depending on qualifications and experience
About you
We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented professional to devise and deliver best practice compliance methodology in order to meet statutory obligations across the organisation.
You will need tertiary qualifications in Town Planning and/or Law, or an equivalent qualification in Building or Construction. Core requirements of this role include a demonstrated ability to interpret legislation and regulations, along with highly developed public relations and communication skills.
About the role
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring statutory requirements are met within the Sustainable Development Directorate, and taking enforcement measures if required.
- Implementing compliance related policies, local laws, regulations, schemes and acts.
- Providing compliance advice to Council and liaising with stakeholders to deliver good governance and quality outcomes.
