Primary Objective

Manage the technical and functional operation, maintenance and support of PWC business systems and support service desk staff deliver high quality incident and change resolution services.

 

Key Responsibilities

1.      Investigate, analyse and prioritise assigned incidents and service requests.  Action requests, resolve level 2 problems, manage internal and external service providers, familiarise contractual arrangements and liaise with Contract Manager whilst adhering to relevant PWC/NTG Policy’s and Standards. Analyse and scope routine and minor change requests, record all actions and manage the development of solutions.

2.      Carry out routine auditing, monitoring, testing, maintenance and ongoing fault rectification of the system’s environments, services, functions, data, security and integrations to other ICT systems.

3.      Develop and maintain system administration documentation, test procedures and outcomes and knowledge base articles to a level that enables system and client service continuity in the absence of the permanent administrator.

4.      Provide advice, support and assistance to internal and external clients in the development and delivery of business process improvement, significant and major change projects and system related training.

5.      Carry out duties in accordance with Power and Water's safety and environmental policy, safety principles, corporate values and behaviours.

 

Selection Criteria – Essential

1.      Demonstrated technical knowledge and extensive experience in procedural administration of ICT systems and the ability to gain a rapid understanding of new systems.

2.      Demonstrated problem solving skills, including the ability to isolate and identify rapid and accurate solutions to complex system-related anomalies and faults.

3.      High level communication skills and a strong focus on coordinating /monitoring external IT service providers while delivering quality client services at all times.

4.      Proven history of developing factual, objective and concise ICT project and support documentation and reports.

5.      Sound understanding of functional enterprise systems principles and practices, such as financial, billing, asset, content and HR systems.

 

Selection Criteria – Desirable

1.      Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry certification in Information Technology, such as ITIL or equivalent practical experience.

2.      Understanding of project management principles and processes, including experience in implementing system upgrades or similar following contemporary project management methodologies.
