Water Treatment Plant Operator
Mackay Regional Council is seeking multiple motivated and experienced Water Treatment Plant Operators to join our Water Treatment team working at various locations within the Mackay Region.
The position of Water Treatment Plant Operator is required to carry out the continuous operation of the Mackay Water & Waste Water Treatment Plants to achieve a level of treatment in accordance with regulatory requirements such as Environmental Protection Act, Environment Licenses, Public Health Act and Drinking Water Quality and Recycled Water Management Plans. Working as a team, undertake operational activities within the area of the Treatment Plants and ensure they are carried out in an effective, efficient and safe manner.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with the ability to work as part of a team. Applicants must hold a current Qld ‘C’ Class drivers licence, General Construction Safety White/Blue card and a current self-contained breathing apparatus certificate. Applicants must have the ability to perform after hours work on an on-call and call-out basis.

- Annualised salary range from $77,448 - $84,661 (dependent on experience and qualifications of the successful applicants)
