An exciting opportunity exists within our Engineering Services Directorate for a Technical Officer Engineering.  Reporting to the Coordinator Capital Project Delivery we are looking for an experienced individual to assist with the completion of detailed engineering designs and provision of technical engineering advice regarding the delivery of civil works projects.


As the Technical Officer Engineering you will be responsible for

  • Project manage capital works including concept design, detailed design and drafting, tendering, contract administration and capitalisation.
  • Prepare budget estimates for construction projects and job costing estimations, ensuring progress of budget estimates are communicated to the Coordinator Capital Project Delivery and Executive Manager Roads & Drainage.
  • With the necessary experience and qualifications you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high attention to detail and accuracy.  You will be an excellent team contributor and motivated to complete tasks on time.


Essential

  • C Class 'Manual' Drivers Licence
  • Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
  • Qld Construction White Card
  • Training and demonstrated experience using AutoCAD, 12D and applicable standards such as Austroads, MUTCD and QUDM
