Community Development Advisor/Office Manager/Case Manager/Municipal Services Officer

We are seeking suitably experienced people to join the Community in multiple roles that will positively contribute to the team, with a preference for couples.

Ngaanyatjarra Council (Aboriginal Corporation) is a dynamic organisation representing the interests of around 2000 Ngaanyatjarra, Pintupi and Pitjantjatjara people living in 12 Communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia.

We currently have multiple vacancies in the following positions available in remote communities on the Ngaanyatjarra Lands in Western Australia.

Community Development Advisor (CDA) will work closely with staff and Indigenous participants and provide advice and guidance related to staff & activities. They will also liaise with a wide range of stakeholders in the development of the Community and work strategically and collaboratively with staff involved in the Community Development Programme (CDP), Municipal Services, stores/roadhouses and other NCAC staff and programs.

Office Manager/Case Manager will provide administrative and office support to the Community Development Advisor, and to handle the case management of participants in the Community Development Programme (CDP) so that they can fulfil their mutual obligation requirements under CDP.

Municipal Services Officer (MSO) will work under the direction of the Community Development Advisor, and will coordinate and carry out the delivery of municipal services activities in the Ngaanyatjarra communities.

Previous experience in government funded programs, proven competency in people management at all levels, including conflict resolution skills will be highly regarded, as well an understanding of working with Indigenous clients in remote communities.

Candidates should note that all Communities are 'dry' areas and consumption of alcohol is prohibited under the Aboriginal Communities Act.

The successful applicants' employment will be subject to obtaining a National Police Clearance and undergoing a preemployment medical.
